Dr Watson and embarking on a whole new set of mysteries.
Doyle had written “The Final Problem” intending to put an end to Holmes and move on to other things, but immense pressure from loyal fans and readers around the globe finally persuaded him to ‘resurrect’ his creation in a clever, believable way.
And so we now have thirteen more classic stories to go on.
